Love is sunlight on a summer day,

laying in the grass and feeling the rays on your skin.

making the freckles and tan skin reappear

as you sip cold drinks and enjoy the peacefulness

of long days with nothing to do.

Love is sunlight on an autumn day,

peeking through the falling leaves

to brighten the slight chill of the morning

and shining through the eerie fogginess

over endless rows of apple trees.

Love is sunlight on a winter day,

when everything is dark and gloomy

and you need that little push of extra warmth

as you sit around a roaring fire

to keep you going through the harsh weather.

Love is sunlight on a spring day,

the first reprieve from the dreary snow

and the cold rainy days as

the weather starts to warm and

the flowers begin to bloom anew.

Love, in all its forms, is sunlight,

there on the days you expect it,

and the ones you don’t.

a constant companion

that is always ready to provide.

Love is sunlight on the good days,

Love is sunlight on the bad days,

and Love is every day in between.
