Statement from the artist: "Coin is a band, and as a fan of that band, I love their live performances. I recently saw their stop in Washington DC on their "I'm Not Afraid of Tour Anymore" tour. I took lots of pictures form that night, but after learning Joe Memmel is a Baltimore native, I felt more connected to him being there that night. As energetic as he was, this photo captured him in a more subdued artistic way."
