A lot of beautiful memories

A lot of hurtful things said

Sometimes I lie awake at night

With all the flashbacks I have to fight

So, pardon me if I look spaced out—

“How’s my mom doing?”

“Oh shoot, that assignment is due tomorrow!”

“Did I even eat today?”

“When’s that deposit due?”

“I wonder if he knows I’m still in love with him…”

I have 3 million thoughts going through my head

And I rarely get the chance to shout
