Elizabeth Kamosa-
The night is just a whisper A quiet shadowed soul. The moon laughs and glows, Its yellowed belly, whole. The stars are like sopranos, each a different note. And the sky is a gentle hum that reflects onto the moat. The waves are overlapping voices that restlessly rise and fall. They echo off the cliffs and onto the shores they crawl. And the sand absorbs the gossip It always has a listening ear. Soon the sand tells the shells before the memories disappear. Then a curious wanderer finds that empty but filled shell. They hold it up to their ear and hear a night of secrets spelled.
